On the Help for Hero’s website you can access the online training as well as watch more informative videos surrounding the subject of mental health. In the Evening Standard there was an article written about how tattoo artists and hairdressers have benefited from this training (link below). They suggested that salon staff provide ‘informal therapy’ for their clients.
A big part of being a hairdresser is to listen and have good communication with your clients . This training could be useful to help educate yourselves about mental health and how to appropriately act if someone needs support or advice.
